Twenty Years from Now...

In twenty years time
In 2028
I will be 68
And one year older
Than mom when she died

In 2004
When I was 44
I never imagined
That I would not have my mom
When I was 45 -

To laugh with
To cry with
To share our stories
About the past
And to continue to grow up together

Why shouldn't my mom
Turn 91?
I'm sure the world
Will just explode
With technology - by 2028

I hope to be around then
And live longer than my mom
But if not
I know I'll see her in heaven
And give her a big hug of thanks!
